They say the devil is in the details which is true in this library/home office! We brought in a wood craftsman to build a custom desk and credenza. He showed up with his pick up truck with wood slabs to choose from which was an exciting process. The shelving above the credenza is specifically designed and carpeted so the cat can climb and observe from above. The window treatments are electric can be raised and lowered from the desk, the carpet is made from New Zealand wool which adds to the  natural materials and warmth throughout.

The client wanted to keep the existing cabinets and layouts for his kitchen renovation. Going for the retro look of the time period that the house was built we found Big Chill appliances that replicate the look, sexy shapes and fun colors but with modern amenities. Since it was an existing space I was able to photograph and photoshop in different schemes including flooring, hardware, lighting, different color appliances and painted cabinets as a tool to visually see the various combinations. He chose the refreshing yellow and white making this a bright and happy space. A natural cork floor was chosen in a multi-color pattern sustainable and easy on the chef's feet. The client had a beautiful existing stained glass art collection that we hung in each window to capture the sunlit colors.
